This weekend Justin & I enjoyed a relaxing weekend getaway. We visited Santa Barbara which was a first for both of us. I can confidently say this will be the first of many SB trips to come! It was the perfect spot to relax and have some much needed R&R.

We arrived Friday at Hotel Santa Barbara. This hotel is centrally located in the heart of Santa Barbara. We were smack in the middle of State St. which is where you want to be if your looking for something within walking distance from the beach, local bars, restaurants, & hiking trails. We found this location to be so easy to get in and out of,  allowing for us to maximize our time with all the exploring we planned to do.

First night out we decided to start the evening off with some cocktails and appetizers at Moby Dick Restaurant. This was about a 10 min walk from the hotel, located on the boardwalk  giving us a beautiful view of the sunset.

** Justin loved the locally drafted beer here, the Moby Dick ale was his favorite.

After, we enjoyed our first dinner out at Cadiz Restaurant & Bar. This was an Italian, Seafood & Cocktail Bar which also tunes into a lounge after 11:00 p.m. located a few doors down from our hotel. The ambiance was very romantic and perfect for a date night! My favorite dish here was the shrimp pesto pasta!

After our amazing dinner experience at Moby Dick’s Restaurant & Cadiz Restaurant it was time to dance off all that food…..and that’s just what we did at The Red Piano Bar, also three doors down from the hotel.

This was my favorite night out! I’m not much of a dancer to be honest, but after a few cocktails and thanks to Justin (who loves to dance!) I jump out of my shell and danced the night away at this adorable piano bar.  I loved listening to live pianist who also sang along to any songs people were requesting that night, her voice was outstanding!! Justin surprised me and requested “All of me” by John Legend and I have to say it was the cutest moment ever! The music and bar staff were fantastic, & it was for sure a night to remember! We’ll be visiting back here any & every time we’re in the area!

A few other recommendations if your visiting the Santa Barbara area that we enjoyed were…

Breakfast at Sambo’s Restaurant. This is the perfect spot to go after a night out. They serve brunch till 3pm & has an ocean view! They serve fresh mini chocolate & blueberry muffins when your first seated. My friend Natalia recommend this spot as a must try and we were not disappointed!

This is the perfect romantic date night spot if your looking for somewhere special to enjoy a elegant dinner or even brunch with a beachfront view. You can expect a mouthwatering seafood dinner, beautiful amibance and walk on the beach here! This place is a hidden gem just a 15 min uber ride outside of the downtown area.
